In 2005, Emerson received his degree in Physical Therapy from the Faculty of Health and Sciences at the Fernando Pessoa University in Portugal. Originally from Brazil, Emerson worked with sport-injured patients for several years until he found his passion to heal not only the body but also the mind and soul. 

He has gained valuable experience in massage therapy across the world. Following his own practice of Physiotherapy, and working with a semi-professional soccer team in Porto, Portugal, he started his spa career aboard the Disney Cruise Lines as a Massage Therapist for the ship’s Vista Spa – rated one of the top 10 “Best Spa on a Cruise Ship” by SpaFinder.

Most notably, Emerson spent five years of his career managing The Spa team at the Seven Stars Resort & Spa in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, named one of the Best Spas in the Caribbean by Condé Nast Traveler.

In 2016, he moved to Canada with his wife and son, looking to enhance his practice and skills in a country he now calls home. In 2021, he welcomed his second son and graduated with honours from the International Academy of Massage and became a Registered Massage Therapist.

The combination of his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, his international experience he gained in the luxurious spas around the world, and his recent diploma in Massage Therapy has been invaluable to his commitment to provide unique client-centered approaches working with clients through their goals and investigating the root cause of dysfunction and pain.
